Orchids: The Perfect Way to Celebrate Spring in the City
The New York Botanical Garden's show, displaying thousands of orchids, is the country's largest curated orchid show.
During Hurricane Sandy, nearly 300 of the Garden's trees were uprooted or destroyed. On March 2, the Garden opened this wonderful show. There are more than 7,000 orchids in the Garden's permanent collection from all over the world including Australia, Africa, South America and Madagascar.
Walking through the orchids is one of the best ways to celebrate Spring in the City. The show runs until April 22, 2013.
