Harry Potter Returns to New York City in Time for the Holidays

Harry Potter fans in New York City during the holidays will be excited to visit the Harry Potter Exhibition at Discovery Times Square.  After an international tour, the exhibition has returned to NYC in time for the holidays.  It features 200 authentic props and costumes from the Harry Potter films as well as additional  items from the final movie.

Visitors travel through the exhibit viewing various sets from the movies, including The Great Hall, Gryffindor common room and Hagrid’s hut.  Harry’s original wand and glasses are on display as well as Gryffindor school uniforms, costumes worn at the Yule ball and the Marauder’s Map.

Following is a TODAY video from the exhibit's tour in Singapore.

Tickets for the New York City exhibit are $27 for adults and can be bought at Discovery Times Square

Combination tickets for $45 (adult) can be purchased to also see Spy:  The Secret World of Espionage (through March 31, 2013)  Visit the New York Times for a photo slide of the the Spy Exhibit.

If you are not in the city during the holidays (or you are not willing to stand in line and pay a high price for the entire family to see the exhibition), you could take advantage of one of Amazon’s Black Friday deals where they dramatically slashed the price of the complete Harry Potter 8-film collection (the entire set for slightly more than the price of one adult ticket).

A Harry Potter marathon would be a fun way to spend time with friends and family this holiday season.
