NYC Subway Art

I didn’t realize how much riding the New York City subway had become a routine until I started to pay more attention to the art in the stations.

I’ve passed the same pieces of art for years but I have not taken the time, until recently, to stop and really look at them. I’ve learned a lot of interesting things about NYC subway art during the past few weeks.

My journey has been so interesting that now sometimes I stop in stations along the way to my final destination just to see the art. It is amazing how many pieces I am discovering that I have never seen before. Instead of rushing to catch the next train, I’m now taking time to stop and look closer at the art.

I think this is a good analogy for life. Sometimes we need to slow down and pay more attention to the people and things around us.

It doesn’t matter where you live. There are always things around you just waiting to be discovered.

Slow down and take time to learn more about things that you see every day. In New York City, a new piece of art is just a short train ride away.

I encourage you to move away from your normal routine and start to explore and appreciate things surrounding you. Don’t rush so fast that you miss fascinating things along the way.

Life moves fast. Slow down and enjoy it.
