Wicked
There is a really good substitute that is currently available at the Gershwin Theatre. On Saturdays at 10 am for $25 you can purchase a ticket for “Wicked Behind the Emerald Curtain”. Instead of traveling backstage, some of the costumes, masks and props are moved into the Gershwin's Rotunda.
When we went on the tour some of the items included Kristin Chenoweth’s and Idina Menzel’s dresses. It was amazing to see them up-close.
Anthony Galde and Sean McCourt, co-creators of “Behind the Emerald Curtain” and original cast members of Wicked, entertained us for 90 minutes with fun stories, facts about cast members, scenery and the overall workings of a successful Broadway musical. It was a great opportunity to take photos and ask questions.
“Wicked Behind the Emerald Curtain” is a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. Of course, it is even better if you catch the 2:00 matinee after the tour!
